CLIMATE
The weather is mostly sunny. It has a typical Mediterranean climate. This means Sunny hot summers. But also sunny mild winters. In winter with an average temperature of 18 to 20 degrees. In summer from 25 to 30.
WHAT TO SEE IN JAVEA
Toward the village,you find a historic center. With nearly Middle Ages narrow streets to walk in. In pas , Javea had walls around the center. Presently, you can see some remains of these fortifications.
If you want to see a church in pure Valencia Gothic style than the San Bartolomé church is in the place to visit. In the 16th century,is was build with local sandstone. The church has a military look. In the past, the pirates or Corsairs were a threat to the town nearby the coast. On the Bartolomé church you can see even the loopholes for the guns and arrows.
After the boulevard promenade, there is a choice of shopping possibilities.

NATURE
In the northwest of the town rises a nearly 750 meters rock. The summit is achievable with a good pair of shoes. The path to the summit is gentle.
It is worth the walking. Because at the top, you can see the Mediterranean Sea and the bay.
Another very nice view you can get from the Massif Montgo and the Cabo la nao. With a bit of luck, you can see the island of Ibiza.
HOW TO GET THERE.
Most tourist arrive at Alicante airport. El alter is of 100 kilometers drive on the highway.
The airport of Valencia is 100 kilometers drive away.
MARKET
Busy market on thursday. It is the place to be food: fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. But also for shoes, bags,clothes and holiday souvenirs.
